Poetic Prodigies was founded by a group of male teens currently serving at a Juvenile Detention Center in New Jersey. These poems reflect their experiences of family life and being raised on the streets, their views of race and America, and of justice and mass incarceration, but most importantly their hopes and aspirations. These are voices worth hearing.
If a poem moves you, please leave a comment or share it.
