growing up was hard

living with a man I didn’t like

not having my mother or father

to protect me from this guy

yes he would hit me

and my mother would help him sometimes

but my question is why?

was I not a good son?

was I a mistake?

why wouldn’t you stop this man

from making me hurt

why didn’t you stop Him

Even after he put his hand on you

his girl, his lover, his baby mother

to me he didn’t respect you

or his kids

he ruined OUR family

and you let this man
